Formal Introduction

For this assignment we had to present ourselves to our professor and let them know a bit about your interest in the sciences. Good Afternoon, I am a first year student here at city college writing to apply for an internship at space central. My interest in science came at a very young age when I visited the New York hall of science. I became very intrigued by the way the world works. I would take regular science classes throughout my middle school and high school courses. They would not interest me as much due to the fact that they weren’t about astronomy. I want to know why the planets work the way they are, why they rotate the way they do. On one of my high school trips we visited the American Museum of Natural History and visited the Planetarium room. This experience only opened up my interest into the astronomy world. I hope to be able to create new discoveries in the astronomy world. I want to be the first to 100% confirm what will happen to the planet when it is called “ends”. Also want to be able to discover if there’s a way to prevent it. With the resources and support Space Central provides to its clients we should be more than capable to break the barrier on this discovery. By the end of this experience I hope to vastly improve my writing skills. I also hope to find more transitional vocabulary. I want to learn how to use the writing skills i already have and incorporate them into scientific writing Sincerely, Nelvin Cruz
